During the writing of this page, October 1, we are receiving

another 3 to 4 inches of rain.

Authorities say there is major flooding along the Baraboo River near Baraboo, Reedsburg and Rock Springs.
Residents have been dealing with high water since heavy rain and tornadoes battered southern and central Wisconsin starting on Aug. 20.

Several areas of Wisconsin received over five inches of rain in the past 24 hours, with certain parts of La Crosse, Monroe and Vernon counties, receiving up to 12 inches. The heavy rainfall has led to numerous road closures due to floodwaters and community evacuations.
